Weekly Community Sitting

This weekly sitting and meditation course led by Mary Rees will be especially useful to those looking for support for an ongoing meditation practice.

We meet at the Spectrum Center which is readily accessible via freeway to anyone in the city. It is just inside the loop at 4100 Westheimer, Suite 233, 77027 and has handicapped access. We meet from 7-8:30 PM.

Offer the teacher compensation according to your value of the experience. We suggest offering $10 to help cover our expenses and an additional amount for the teaching.

If you have not had instruction there are several public options we can offer including, by pre-arrangement, an introduction during the Monday sitting

  • Introduction to the practice is available by prearrangement through our the community website at www.meditationhouston.org/contactus.htm

  • Periodic beginning courses are offered before or during the sitting on Monday night. When available these listed on this website at Current Meditation Courses

  • Attend an Insight and Mindfulness course or a Weekend Retreat and Beginning Course. Current courses are listed on this website at Current Meditation Courses

  • Work with the CD course Going Beyond What you Believe to be True. See www.nutpub.com/goingbeyondcd.html. Courses are periodically available using this CD. Furthermore, anyone who has the CD is encouraged to have teacher contact and is provided opportunity for teacher support.
