Daylongs or Days of Mindfulness: A Day of Mindfulness is offered periodically in various locations. These single days of silence are intended for both new and experienced people. For new people a day of mindfulness offers immediate immersion in the range of practices and, for everyone, new or experienced, an opportunity to establish concentration and to work in depth with particular aspects of Vipassana practice.
Weekend Non-residential Retreat: A non-residential retreat is both an alternative to the six week beginning course for people new to the practice and a easy access retreat experience for sangha members in general. The Friday night session is essential for people doing the retreat as a first vipassana course. The New Year Retreat includes a segment specifically for committed students interested in mentoring and leadership training. The retreats are held the second weekend in January. The 2007 retreat will be held January 12-15. Registration for this retreat will be open in July. (Back to Top)
