Through these courses, taught by Mary Rees, you will learn interpersonal practices for cultivating the mind. There are courses open to people new to meditation and for those with experience. When you register, please notice that some courses have prerequistes.

Courses currentlly available for credit are lsited on this page. Courses are also available on Monday nights without Continuing Education credit and with more flexible fees.

Level One - Introductory
Basic Guidelines - Integrating training in insight and mindfulness into interpersonal interactions.

    • The following have prerequsites and are available only in private session or in the group for Meditating Mental Health Professionals (MMHP):
    Level Two - Intermediate (prerequisite: level one or previous work with Mary Rees)

  • We offer beginning meditation courses in several modalities, including independent study (teacher supported work online with or without Continuing Education).

    Course fees for groups are currently only $25 an hour. Thus the registration fee is $150 for the three session Basic Guidelines course, $100 for the two session Contemplative Study Course, and $50 for one session courses of two hours. Advanced courses are currently available only in private session.

    The $25 hourly fee covers expenses, including facility rental, publicity, teacher training and prepartion. It does not include a teaching fee. The courses are offered in the spirit of Dana with the intention to keep costs as low as possible. Additional teacher compensation will be greatly appreciated.

  • Register online by copying the registration form and pasting it in an email message. You will then be able to fill in the information and mail to mary@citta101.com. Pay on line by using Pay Pal.

  • Ask for a reduced fee if you would be unable to come because of this fee (not available with credit for Continuing Education).

    Citta 101 is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Citta 101 maintains responsibility for all programs offered here and their contents.
