Reading and study are powerful means of doing spiritual practice. How deeply do you read spiritual texts? Can you take the meaning in, consider it carefully and let its teachings permeate your life? In this course you will also gain some familiarity with working with suttas, spiritual texts considered to be direct teachings of Gautama Buddha. The methods you learn can be readily applied to working with spiritual texts of any tradition or as a means of putting texts from two different tradtions in dialogue with you and each other.
