This course, Going Beyond – First Steps, is the foundational to those that will follow, but stands alone as a course by itself. The practices offered help open the mind to a view of life and experience that make it possible to expand consciousness and to learn in new ways. By first and repeatedly experiencing that things are not as substantial as they seem, we can step into adventure, into the discovery process of finding what is true and real in any circumstance. In addition to explorations of insubstantiality, the First Steps course offers beginning practices for being in touch with the body and sensations, finding an anchor point or home in the mind, and flexible use of attention.

This is a CD-ROM for computer, NOT for an audio CD Player. It contains audio files of guided meditations, instructional pages, practice pages, and teacher list in HTML format. If your Windows computer has Autoplay, it will run when inserted into your computer's CD or DVD drive. If you have a Mac or do not have Autoplay enabled, you can open the files like any normal data disk. Refer to the README.TXT file for specific instructions.
